At Thomas Kay Flooring and Interiors we trace our roots back to the original Thomas Kay Woolen Mill founded in 1889 in Salem, Oregon. Thomas Lister Kay fulfilled a childhood dream by opening Oregon’s largest woolen mill. After a being one of the first hydro-electric powered mills in the west Thomas B Kay Sr converted the business into a flooring company in 1962 and allowed the mill to be converted into museum called Mission Mill.
